Your dog is about to start texting you.

Bark.AI turns your dog's collar data into a text thread. Ask how they're doing and get an answer built from their real activity, rest and temperature. And if something isn't right, they text you first.

Free to start. No card needed.

The Bark.AI Messages screen. The owner asks Bosun, a basenji, whether he got into the trash. Bosun replies: define "get into". Later: i have to do nothing. i am a basenji. The owner's messages are navy bubbles.

Every dog owner carries the same three questions around.

Bark.AI answers them in the thread you already check a hundred times a day, not in a chart you have to remember to open.

  1. Is my dog okay right now?

At work, on a trip, or at 3am. Send a text and you'll know.

  2. Did they get what they needed today?

Enough walking, enough time outside, enough real rest.

  3. Is this thing I noticed a problem?

Restless nights, panting, slowing down. Compared with what's normal for your dog, not dogs in general.

Tell us who they are. Put the collar on. Start texting.

Who they are

Name, breed, age and a quick personality quiz. Bark.AI writes a short sketch of your dog's character, and you edit it until it sounds like them.

The collar

It follows movement, rest, temperature and where they are. Over the first week or two, Bark.AI learns what normal looks like for your dog.

The thread

Ask anything. They answer in their own voice, from what the collar is reading right now. Tap any reply to see the numbers behind it.

All of that happens in one sitting.

Talk in the thread. Look closer in the app.

Everything your dog says comes from something you can see.

An example Today screen: Bosun is asleep at home. Active 47 minutes, usual 50. Collar on and reporting. Suggested messages: how are you, what are you up to, miss you, hungry.

Today

What they're up to right now, with every number shown next to their own usual.

The Health screen: nothing out of the ordinary, with each reading next to Bosun's usual, and a vet report built for a 90-second read in an exam room.

Health

Quiet until something isn't normal for your dog. The vet report is one tap away.

The You screen for Bosun, a 9-year-old basenji: a written sketch of who he is, character sliders from energy to drama, and how much he talks: quiet, balanced or chatty.

You and your dog

Who they are, how they talk, and how often they're allowed to text you.

The Bark.AI sign-in screen: the navy bone speech bubble logo above the name, "Welcome back. Your dog has been waiting.", email and password fields and a navy Sign in button.

Tap a message to see what it was based on: what they were doing and how they seemed at the time.
A report your vet will read.
One tap builds a plain record of what was measured and what was flagged, set against your dog's own normal. Print it or bring it along.
You set the volume.
Quiet, balanced or chatty. Quiet hours run 10pm to 7am unless you change them. Urgent health alerts always come through.
It remembers what matters.
Tell it the things only you know, like "scared of the vacuum" or "won't eat without a topper", and it keeps them in mind.
Made for older dogs too.
Senior mode switches to straight talk, eases off the activity nudges and keeps an eye on comfort.

Bark.AI hardware, made around the bone.

Our own collar tag and home bases, designed from day one for Bark.AI. The tag your dog wears, and a choice of two bases at home that charge it and keep it connected.

Render of the Bark.AI hardware on navy: the Plus base, a white cylinder camera with a gold lens ring and the bone logo, with the Bark Tag docked in its top and the collar draped over it; a round white Lite base; and a spare Bark Tag.
Render of the Bark Tag: a small graphite bone-shaped tag clipped onto a tan leather collar on an oak table.

Bark Tag

A bone-shaped tag that slips onto the collar your dog already wears. About 32 grams, sealed and designed to be waterproof, with magnetic charging and no open ports. It follows movement, rest and temperature, and knows whether they're home, in the yard or out. If they slip out without you, its GPS and cellular radio wake up so you can find them. The rest of the time those stay asleep, which is how it's designed to go about a month between charges.

Render of the Lite base: a round white dock with a collar laid across it and the tag seated on top.

Lite base

A round dock that charges the tag and connects it to home, so Bark.AI knows when they're in. Add a second plug by the back door and it can tell the yard from the house, handy if your dog likes to slip out.

Render of the Plus base: a white cylinder with the Bark Tag docked in its top and the collar draped over it, a camera lens in a gold ring and the bone logo on its front.

Plus base

A shelf camera with night vision and two-way talk, so you can check in and say hello. The tag docks in its top to charge. A gold ring shows when it's recording, and a physical switch turns the camera and microphones off.

Two finishes

White and graphite, for every piece. Each is matte, with the bone pressed into the shell in its own color. The gold ring on the Plus camera is the only accent.

They only interrupt when it's worth it.

A text from your dog should change what you do in the next hour. Everyday nudges stay inside your quiet hours and a daily limit. When something is urgent, the personality steps aside and you get the facts and what to do next. Urgent alerts are never held back, not by quiet hours and not by any plan.

  1. Normal

slept straight through last night. feeling like myself again 🙌

  2. Watch

i haven't been sleeping great this week. up 5 or 6 times a night

  3. Urgent

dad, i'm really hot. it's 34 out in the yard and i'm panting hard. can you bring me in?

This may be heat stress. Move Bosun somewhere cool with water now and call your vet.

A few promises.

Making a dog sound charming is the easy part. Here is what we hold ourselves to.

  1. Grounded, never made up. Every reply comes from a real reading, or says plainly what it doesn't know. Collar off? Your dog tells you: "honestly not sure, collar's been off since my bath."
  2. Not a vet, and never pretends to be. Bark.AI tells you what it noticed and how urgent it seems, then points you to your own vet. It never names a condition.
  3. Nothing hidden. Any message can be tapped to show the data behind it. You never have to take a reply on faith.
  4. No guilt trips. No streaks, no scores, no shaming. Your dog asks for a walk. They never keep count.
  5. Your data is yours. We don't sell it, and it's never used for advertising.
  6. No ads in your dog's voice. Your dog will never recommend a product. Their voice is not for sale.

The Fourier Pet team

Good questions.

Still have one? Write to hello@barktext.dev.

Is it really my dog talking?

It's your dog's own data and the personality you described, put into words by Bark.AI. It never claims to read your dog's mind, and every message shows what it was based on.

Will it tell me what's wrong with my dog?

No. It records, compares and flags. If something looks unusual for your dog, it says what it noticed and how urgent it seems, and points you to your vet with a report they can read in a minute and a half.

How often will my dog text me?

As often as you like. Choose quiet, balanced or chatty, and set your quiet hours. Everyday nudges stay within a daily limit. Urgent health alerts always come through.

What if the collar is off or out of range?

Your dog says so instead of guessing, and picks up where they left off when the readings come back.

Can I text from my normal Messages app?

Yes. Add your phone number in Settings and your dog texts you like any other contact. Reply right there and the conversation shows up in the app too.

Something isn't working. Who do I tell?

Use Report a problem in the app, which sends us what we need to fix it, or write to hello@barktext.dev. A person reads every message.

Give your dog a voice.

Set up their profile, take the personality quiz and read the character sketch Bark.AI writes for them. Then they send you their first text.
